Meet zaheer, Founder of The Travel Wolf
My name is zaheer, and I’m the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Travel Wolf. As a writer, photographer, traveler, and designer based in the United States, I bring a multidisciplinary approach to European travel journalism.
My passion for travel started at an early age. A high school trip to France changed everything, setting me on a path that has taken me to over 21 countries. In 2020, I spent one year traveling the world with Shahzad, my Co-Founder and longtime partner from the UK, deepening my understanding of authentic exploration. Shahzad brings a designer’s perspective and European insight to our research, and together we’ve built The Travel Wolf on years of hands-on adventure travel experience.
I spend months each year in Europe conducting firsthand research for our travel guides. Every recommendation—from the best hotels and restaurants to hidden spots and sights—comes from personal experience. I test accommodations, evaluate dining establishments, and explore destinations thoroughly before making any recommendations.
I founded TTW (The Travel Wolf) in 2024 with a clear goal: helping travelers experience Europe through locally-informed, authentic guidance. My background in writing, design, and photography allows me to assess destinations comprehensively, uncovering what traditional guidebooks often miss.

Meet Shahzad, Co-Founder of The Travel Wolf
My name is Shahzad, and I’m the Co-Founder of The Travel Wolf. As a designer based in the UK, I bring a European perspective to our travel research and content development.
Zaheer and I have been mates since high school, turning our shared passion for exploration into a proper professional collaboration. I’ve travelled to 12 countries, specialising in adventure travel that uncovers authentic experiences beyond conventional tourism.
My role centres on research and design. I spend considerable time in destinations, evaluating local culture and identifying what genuinely makes places worth visiting. Being UK-based provides firsthand insight into European travel, informing the guidance we deliver through The Travel Wolf.
My design background shapes how I assess destinations—I notice architectural details and spatial nuances that others might overlook. This ensures our guides balance practical information with aesthetic appreciation.
One memorable moment happened unexpectedly in Italy, where I got married during what was planned as a simple holiday. That experience reinforced my belief that the best travel comes from remaining open to the unexpected.
